Soul Care in the time of coronavirus

As of now, I will be offering half-hour Soul Care sessions on Whereby.com (in English and German). Do you feel overwhelmed, worn out, challenged, or simply bemused by these troubled times? I offer you a safe place to talk, cry, laugh, or just be – held in prayer, protected under Brigid’s Green Mantle.

Do not worry if you come from a different faith tradition, or none. It is my firm belief that the mystical core of all faiths, religions and spiritualities has but one name, which is LOVE.

Please note that this is not therapy. You remain fully responsible for yourself; I shall not be liable for any damages or claims.

I am aware that many people are already financially stretched to their limits during this crisis; therefore there will be no set fee. If you wish to make a donation, just let me know.

Appointments are made in the order of their arrival and according to my available capacities. Contact me at brigidsbard ‘at’ gmail.com and let me know your request. I will get in touch with you and send you the link to my room in Whereby. You do not need to register.

Dear friends, I have a gift for you …

EDIT: The cards are all gone! 🙂

Having received so much positive feedback for my “Remain” poem and photo, I decided to have it made into a postcard.

And I would love to send it to you.

Either one card, which will be sent directly as a postcard, or ten cards in an envelope, which you can share with your to your friends, distribute them in your town, leave them behind in your favourite cafĂ©, or even send them to your MP. 😉

This offer applies worldwide!

Of course printing and postage won’t come cheap, but I don’t want to set a fixed price because I am aware that for many of you money is absolutely tight already. Therefore I ask those of you who can afford it to make a contribution to the costs, via PayPal (I’ll send you the details).

Any surplus will go directly into the savings I am currently making for the production of my CD of Brigid chants and songs, which I hope to be able to record soon.

If you want to receive my newsletter, which will notify you about this and other activities, please let me know!

If you want to participate, please send an e-mail to brigidsbard “at” gmail.com and let me know the following:

– Name and address:
– One card or 10 cards?
– Donation? yes/no
– Newsletter? yes/no
(please provide an e-mail address for the newsletter)

Of course you may revoke your consent given to the use of your data for these purposes at any time via e-mail to me (brigidsbard “at” gmail.com).

And don’t worry if you cannot contribute financially but still want to have the postcard. I WANT you to have it! The situation in England is becoming increasingly dire and I hope you are aware that you are NOT alone! Apart from me, there are many people all over the world who love the British Isles dearly and wish they could do something to help you cancel Brexit and enable you to keep all the opportunities you have enjoyed for so long as citizens of Europe.

Whatever happens, you can rely on our continuous support, even if – as in this case – it is merely poetic.

In love and solidarity
Karan

Brigid’s Bard at the Goddess Conference in Glastonbury

It is a great joy for me to offer a daily “vocal bliss” morning ritual at this year’s Goddess Conference in Glastonbury (July 30 – August 4th, 2019). I look forward to beginning each day of this fabulous convention with those who want to give their vocal chords a gentle wake-up call, explore vocal toning, and sing the Sun Lover’s praise together.

Of course there will be chants written by yours truly especially for the occasion!

Greetings from Kildare

Why is Ireland called the “Emerald Isle”? Because it’s raining a lot, which of course is very good for the emerald-green grass! I was able to confirm this theory during my visit to Kildare, where St. Brigid once lived. Her sacred well is beautiful, located in a garden that invites to meditate and reflect, and adorned with a life-sized bronze statue.

And then the legendary Irish rain stopped just long enough for me to be able to sing a song for Brigid! The recording was made with a mobile phone and hasn’t been processed at all, which enables you to also hear the birdsong and the sound of the water.

As soon as the song was over, the clouds opened again. Luckily, I was able to throw my guitar back into its case before I got soaked! 🙂
